One Yard Wonders ... Superhero Cape and Shorts

This past Christmas I got the One Yard Wonders book. Lets just say I want to make EVERYTHING in it!!! And I can't believe it took me about 6 months to finally make something in the book!!



I choose this Superhero Cape and Shorts by Rachel Theis to make for a friend's son's birthday. It came together really quick {I put it together the morning of the party ... nothing like last minute sewing!} and it only took one yard of fabric. NOTE: All patterns in this book only take one yard of fabric, BUT, make sure you check what width of fabric you need too! I purchased fabric for a project and it is not wide enough to make the project!




For my project I choose silver and blue with light blue for the lining of the shorts.








I have a lot more projects I want to do in this book.... :)
