There are a ton of ideas for using paper tubes out there! But one day I wondered if I flatten a tube out and sew along the edges, would a gift card or business card fit inside?
Well, it did! And I love the way it turned out. Of course, I had to embellish it!
Just take a paper tube, Cut it down if needed. Flatten it.
Use a zigzag stitch around three sides.
Added a little ruffle.
Cut a strip of fabric on the bias to make a ruffle. |
I used one of my circle punches to punch out the tube so it is easier to grab the card.
Easy!
